“We have received word that a member of our utility staff has tested positive for COVID-19,” CNN Philippines said.
“As a precaution and for everyone’s safety, we are temporarily going off the air starting tonight to disinfect the CNN Philippines office in Mandaluyong,” it added.
CNN Philippines also assured that it was prepared for such an emergency, as many of its staff have been isolated and are working from home. This is the second time that it has to go off the air after an individual in the building where the media company holds office got infected in March.
CNN Philippines also assured delivery of news will continue via its website and social media platforms.
