Pagasa: Brace for another hot, humid day

Public Weather Forecast Issued at 4:00 AM July 07, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — The country will experience another hot and humid day on Tuesday with isolated rainshowers possibly occurring in the afternoon or evening, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration.

The isolated rainshowers will be caused by localized thunderstorms, according to Pagasa’s 4 a.m. weather forecast.

(In Luzon, including Metro Manila, will continue to experience hot and humid weather, with high chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.)

Currently, the easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean are affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

(The entire Visayas and Mindanao will also have hot and humid weather. But in the afternoon or evening, the chance of occurrence of thunderstorms is high.)

Rojas warned that in Mindanao, thunderstorms may bring heavier rains, which may last for more than two hours.

He advised those living near rivers and in low-lying areas to take precautionary measures as heavy rains may trigger flash floods.
