MANILA, Philippines — The National Police Commission (Napolcom) has started its probe to determine whether the nine Sulu policemen allegedly involved in the killing of four Army intelligence operatives should remain in the service.

Napolcom Vice Chair and Executive Officer Rogelio Casurao said he expected the administrative probe to be completed after two weeks.

The nine Sulu PNP personnel allegedly killed Army Maj. Marvin Indammog, Capt. Irwin Managuelod, Sgt. Jaime Velasco and Cpl. Abdal Asula in Jolo in what police initially called a “misencounter” but which the Army described as a “rubout.”

Under probe are Senior Master Sgt. Abdelzhimar Padjiri, Master Sgt. Hanie Baddiri, Staff Sgt. Iskandar Susulan, Staff Sgt. Ernisar Sappal, Cpl. Sulki Andaki, and Pat. Moh Nur Pasani, all of the Jolo town police station; as well as Sulu provincial drug enforcement unit personnel Staff Sgt. Almudzrin Hadjaruddin, Pat. Alkajal Mandangan and Pat. Rajiv Putalan.
