MANILA, Philippines — The building housing the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National Police Commission (Napolcom) at Edsa and Quezon Avenue in Quezon City will be closed for seven days starting Monday after Interior Undersecretary for Operations Epimaco Densing III tested positive for the coronavirus.

DILG spokesperson Jonathan Malaya said the DILG would still receive and release documents at the building’s lobby despite the lockdown, although officials and staff at the central office would be working from home.

Malaya said the entire building would be disinfected and contact tracing of all its workers will be conducted.
