MANILA, Philippines – The defense panel of Chief Justice Renato Corona are satisfied with the way things are going in the impeachment trial, Radyo Inquirer 990 AM reported Wednesday.

Atty. Tranquil Salvador III was quoted in saying that they were pleased that the Senate acting as the Impeachment Court had denied the prosecution’s request to subpoena Corona and members of his family.

According to Salvador also lauded Presiding officer and Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile’s gag order to the prosecution to prevent them from divulging to the media evidence that they will be presenting to the court.

The impeachment court adjourned early on Tuesday after the prosecution was deemed unprepared to present evidence.
