4 drug suspects busted; yield P27.2M-worth of ‘shabu’ in QC sting

MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics operatives have arrested four alleged drug peddlers and supposedly seized from them some P27.2 million worth of suspected crystal meth or “shabu” in Quezon City.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Police Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo said in a report Saturday that Jinky Pascio Arbolado, Jhon Christopher Guzman, Cristina Burill, and Siloren Tabiano were collared in a buy-bust operation on Friday evening in Barangay Santo Domingo

Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region and La Loma police station launched the anti-illegal drug operation at Biak na Bato corner Cuenco Street, according to police.

An undercover police agent bought shabu from the suspects, who were consequently arrested after handing over the marked money.

Aside from the illegal substance and buy-bust money, police said operatives also confiscated five cellphones from the suspects.

All four suspects will be charged in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police noted.
