Olongapo has new COVID-19 case after a 1-month lull

OLONGAPO CITY –– After more than a month of having no infections, the city recorded a new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patient on Thursday.

Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said a 23-year-old woman who was exposed to a COVID-19 positive patient at her workplace was the latest active case.

The asymptomatic patient is now in a stable condition while isolated at a private hospital in the city.

The city is one of the areas in the country that is now on low-risk moderate general community quarantine.

As of Thursday, the city reported 15 COVID-19 cases, 12 of which had recovered while two had died. INQ
