TOURISM DATA UPDATE

BARANGAY officials of Talisay City were ordered to conduct a survey to update the existing data on the tourist attractions in their area.

The Talisay City Council said the survey is in preparation for the Capitol’s “Access Cebu” text program.

A resolution filed by Councilor Charles Basillote called for support to the program, one of several done by the province.

“Access Cebu” also required Talisay City’s tourism officer to provide accurate and updated about the city.

The program is a collaboration between the Capitol, Globe Telecom and Payvenue.

Globe and TM users who wish to learn about Cebu can text ACCESS <space> CEBU and send to 2278.

Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia together with Payvenue and Globe Telecom signed the agreement last November.

The province will provide information about local government units, its local tourism sites and services from various cities and municipalities in Cebu.

Payvenue Computer Consultancy Services, a Cebu City-based company, will facilitate the collation and updating of information on Cebu’s towns and cities for its content from the province while Globe Telecom will service the program.
