A 34-year-old habal-habal driver was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in barangay Poblacion Occidental, Consolacion town, northern Cebu, last Monday evening.
Police said the motive in Aaron Yap’s murder has not been established yet.
Police said a personal grudge is one of the motives being looked in as Yap, a member of the Guardians Brotherhood, had given some information to the police about illegal activities.
Police Yap parked his motorcycle in front of Fixman Shoes and Bags Repair Shop when an unidentified man arrived and shot him in the back of the head.
The gunman fled on a motorcycle driven by an accomplice.
Witnesses told police that the assailant wore a white T-shirt and denim pants.
The police recovered two empty shells and one deformed slug of a .9mm pistol in the crime scene. /WITH CORRESPONDENTS GABRIEL C. BONJOC AND NORMAN V. MENDOZA
