BACOLOD CITY –– Six locally stranded individuals (LSIs) who recently returned to Negros Occidental tested positive for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Department of Health on Tuesday reported that the new cases are a 31-year-old female from La Carlota City who arrived from Manila; a 32-year-old female from Bago City who came from Manila, a 22-year-old female from Sagay City who got stranded in Cavite; a 38-year-old male from Bago City who came from Manila, a 57-year-old male from Silay City who arrived from Manila, and a 30-year-old female from La Carlota City who came from Manila.
Meanwhile, five overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and two LSIs from Negros Occidental have recovered from COVID-19.
The five repatriated OFWs who have recovered are a 63-year-old female from Pulupandan, a 50-year-old male from Silay City, a 43-year-old male from La Carlota City, a 35-year-old male from Binalbagan, and a 46-year-old male from San Carlos City.
The two recovered LSIs are a 24-year-old female from Talisay City and a 36-year-old male from San Carlos City.
