Select areas in Taguig to be under modified localized quarantine until July 15
MANILA, Philippines – Select areas in Taguig City where “testing continues to find COVID-19 cases” will be placed under modified localized quarantine (MLQ) starting July 2 until July 15, the city government said Wednesday.
The MLQ is on top of the general community quarantine over Metro Manila, which was extended by President Rodrigo Duterte until July 15.
The following areas in Lower Bicutan, Taguig that will be placed under MLQ are:
- Dalampasigan Area in Purok 5
- Barangay Street, Purok 6-A
- I. Reyes Street, Purok 6-B
- K-9 Area
- Purok 6-D
- Mauling Creek Area in Purok 6
Meanwhile, Purok 5 and 6’s localized community lockdown will be lifted due to the effective management of its COVID cases, the local government said.
Taguig likewise reminded its residents of communities under lockdown to follow the quarantine guidelines.
“In areas covered by the MLQ, the violation of quarantine guidelines will be penalized in accordance with Republic Act No. 11332, or the “Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act,” and other laws and ordinances,” read the statement.
