COVID-19 cases in Pangasinan breach 100-mark

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan –– The cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Pangasinan and Dagupan City have breached the 100-mark on Tuesday, local officials said.

The latest data shows that the province has 102 COVID-19 patients, four of them recorded early this week.

The fresh cases include a 47-year-old returning overseas Filipino worker from Bonuan Boquig, Dagupan City; a 21-year-old seaman from Barangay Dulig in Labrador town; a 40-year-old woman from Poblacion West, Umingan town; a 29-year-old man from Barangay Tiblong, San Fabian town; and a 35-year-old man from Barangay Dumpay, Basista town.

The patient in San Fabian is a front-liner from Pateros who joined the mass testing in Dagupan City on June 22 but went back to his town on June 27 for a vacation.

The new case in Basista is a person with a disability who was a close contact of another COVID-19 patient from the town.

With the latest patients, Pangasinan now has 26 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday.
