The National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) was created by Republic Act No. 8425, or the Social Reform and Poverty Alleviation Act, which took effect on June 30, 1998.
The act institutionalizes the government’s Social Reform Agenda, which enjoins the NAPC to strengthen and invigorate the partnerships between the national government and the basic sectors.
The NAPC executive office is located at the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System-Local Water Utilities Administration Complex on Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City.
