COTABATO CITY—A former provincial board member of Maguindanao and a relative were killed in an ambush last Monday in Parang town.

Insp. Wilfredo Sanquin, Parang police chief, said former Board Member Raul Tomawis and cousin Sandiale Tomawis were on their way to the town proper past 2 p.m. when ambushed by still unidentified gunmen.

Sanquin said police were investigating if the attack was related to “rido,” or clan war. He said the armed men were aboard a Toyota|
