Woman, 18, takes own life in Digos City
DIGOS CITY –– An 18-year-old woman was found dead on Friday inside her rented room in a residential compound here, in what police said was a case of suicide.
Lt. Col. Vici Anthony Tababa, Digos City police chief, identified the woman as Elleeyah Moring Lamiton, who lives in Datuc Compound of Barangay Zone-1.
Tababa said Lamiton’s partner, Annaflor Camireno, 23, told police that the incident happened just before noontime.
A police probe found that last year, Lamiton attempted twice to take her own life but was discovered and prevented by her siblings.
An investigation by Scene of the Crime Operatives of the Davao del Sur police crime laboratory found no traces of foul play about the death of Lamiton, Tababa said.
