P6.8 million worth of shabu seized in Antipolo bust

MANILA, Philippines – A kilogram of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) valued at about P6.8 million was seized from a suspected drug dealer who was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Antipolo City on Thursday.

In a report on Friday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspect as 23-year-old John Lennon Tadena.

The sting operation was conducted by operatives of PDEA in cooperation with the Antipolo City Police along the National Housing Authority Avenue, Antipolo, Rizal.

Also seized from the suspect were three sachets of marijuana and three more sachets of suspected shabu.

PDEA said the suspect is now in custody and will be facing criminal complaints for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Jim Mendoza, trainee)
