Cavite targeted testing: 13 cops COVID-positive
MANILA, Philippines —Thirteen Cavite police officers tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) based on the provincial government’s recent targeted testing drive, Governor Jonvic Remulla said on Friday.
In a Facebook post, Remulla urged Cavite residents to follow quarantine protocols, citing the sacrifices of police officers and health workers handling the COVID-19 crisis.
“13 na pulis ay nag-positive. Their sacrifice being in the frontline deserves our honor and respect. Sumunod po tayo lahat sa batas. Sumunod tayo sa patakaran,” he said.

“Lahat ng ito ay para sa inyo. Huwag natin sayangin ang pinagdadaanan ng nagkasakit na medical at police frontliners para lamang gumala at mag-aliw nang walang katuturan,” he added.

He then advised Cavite residents to just stay at home as much as possible.
“I repeat: Staying home saves lives,” he said.
Meanwhile, over 2,000 overseas Filipino workers have already returned to Cavite, according to the governor.
“All of them have registered. If they need help with testing, then we will do everything we can. Let us treat them with compassion and gratitude,” he said.
