DILG: IATF IDs still to be honored despite June 20 expiration

MANILA, Philippines — Despite its June 20 expiration, IDs issued by the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases will still be honored by authorities, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said Thursday.

“Yan (IATF IDs) naman ay ihohonor pa rin natin,” DILG Secretary Eduardo Año said in a televised briefing.

(That will still be honored.)

“Kung irerenew pa natin yan, maraming trabaho pa rin. Hindi naman nagbago yung pagkatao nung may hawak ng ID. Meron naman accompanying company ID. Ihohonor pa rin natin yan,” he went on.

(If we renew that, it will be more work. The identity of the ID holder did not change anyway. And it will be presented with an accompanying company ID. We will still honor this.)

IATF IDs were issued to essential workers and media personnel following the imposition of lockdown measures mid-March. Its expiration date is dated June 20.

Metro Manila and several other areas, however, remain under general community quarantine (GCQ) while others are under modified GCQ until June 30.

Meanwhile, Cebu City is the only city under the strictest form of lockdown or enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) while Talisay City is under modified ECQ.
