HRET office in QC on lockdown

MANILA, Philippines – Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen has ordered a lockdown of the House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal (HRET) premises for 14 days.

“As HRET Chair, I ordered the lockdown of the HRET premises for disinfection and quarantine of all its personnel for 14 days due to a possible case of COVID19 last Tuesday afternoon,” Leonen said.

The HRET office  is located in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.

He said essential staff will continue working from home.

A lockdown was ordered after COVID-19 rapid tests were conducted last week.

“The person may have been infected after we did a staff wide rapid test a week ago. He was a liaison between government offices. We have also informed the other government agency involved. We will inform all the litigants and their lawyers,” said Leonen.
