Zambo’s 195th COVID-19 patient is 10-yr-old girl

ZAMBOANGA CITY—The city’s latest COVID-19 patient is a 10-year-old girl, which raised the coronavirus tally to 195, according to the local government.

Sheila Covarrubias, information officer of the Zamboanga City Task Force Against COVID-19, said that the girl is younger sibling of a 12-year-old boy who returned from Cebu City and tested positive for coronavirus.

The siblings arrived in the city through the government’s Hatid Probinsya program.

Covarrubias said the girl had shown no symptom of the disease but is now on quarantine in a facility run by the city government.

Earlier, a 57-year-old woman from Upper Calarian village was added to the list of COVID-19 patients in the city. She has been on dialysis at the Zamboanga City Medical Center.

She is the elder sister of another COVID-19 patient who is suffering from pneumonia.

Of the city’s 195 cases, 150 have recovered while five are already dead.
