PNP COVID-19 cases now at 507
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP)on Tuesday reported that coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the organization breached the 500 mark with eight new reported infections.
The PNP said the eight new cases increased the total number of COVID-19 cases in the national police force to 507, with nine fatalities and 287 recoveries.

Meanwhile, a policeman, who previously recovered from the coronavirus disease was again infected with COVID-19.
The PNP said the police officer tested positive for novel coronavirus during a swab test, which was required as he was reassigned to Western Visayas.
He is now admitted in a quarantine facility.
PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said the latest COVID-19 fatality at the police force is a 45-year-old policeman assigned in Central Visayas.
The PNP has likewise recorded 654 probable cases and 868 suspect cases, so far.
