Roque not interested in top PhilHealth post

MANILA, Philippines — Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque has no desire to take over the top post at the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) as he considers this a demotion from his current position.

PhilHealth president Ricardo Morales had said Roque might want to implement the Universal Health Care law.

“That’s a demotion, I am not interested,” Roque said. He earlier called on Morales to act against corruption in the agency.
