MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday submitted to Congress his 13th report on the use of his additional powers to address the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

As mandated by the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, the President is to report all acts performed in relation to the government’s efforts against the health crisis.

The President’s report came even as some senators said that the Bayanihan law expired on June 5, when both chambers of Congress adjourned session.

Malacañang, however, said the law will remain effective until June 25 due to its sunset provision.

During his online briefing, Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the President will continue to submit reports to Congress even after June 25.

“Magkakaroon pa po ng final report after the 25th,” Roque said.

(There will be a final report after the 25th.)

Last week, Duterte extended the general community quarantine imposed in Metro Manila and several other areas until June 30.

He also reverted Cebu City back to enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) while Talisay City was placed under modified ECQ.
