CITY OF CALAPAN, Occidental Mindoro – All 24 construction workers of the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) who were working on a project at Magsaysay town in Occidental Mindoro and who earlier tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on May 29, have fully recovered, the provincial government said on Friday evening.
The Provincial Health Office received test results from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine stating that the remaining four workers have tested negative on their second repeat reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) swab test.
The workers have already completed their 14-day isolation period as required for asymptomatic cases.
As of Friday, the number of confirmed cases in the province is at 41 and recoveries are at 38. There is only one recorded death and the remaining active cases are two.
There are 29 persons under investigation for the coronavirus and 2,884 persons under monitoring.
