Six individuals at the National Bureau of Investigation tested positive for the coronavirus disease in rapid antibody tests, a bureau official said on Friday.
NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin said some 200 individuals—detainees and staff—at the NBI headquarters on Taft Avenue, Manila, have undergone rapid testing for COVID-19.
The individuals would undergo confirmatory swab tests. The rapid testing was conducted after an elderly detainee of the bureau died due to COVID-19 on Sunday.
The NBI headquarters was placed under partial lockdown on Thursday to give way for testing and disinfection. —Nikka G. Valenzuela
