Public Weather Forecast Issued at 4:00 AM June 19, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — Several areas in the country are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains on Friday due to the intertropical convergence zone affecting parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

In its daily weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Bicol region, Mimaropa region (Mindoro Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) , Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and Northern Mindanao.

The weather system, along with localized thunderstorms, may likewise bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms to Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Pagasa warned of possible flash floods and landslides in rain-affected areas.

Light winds from the southeast will prevail over the whole country on Friday, with slight to moderate coastal conditions, the state weather bureau added.
