A supposed police officer has drawn negative reactions on the internet after having a meltdown because her order got delayed at a fast food drive-thru in Georgia, United States.

Referred to only as Stacey, the officer broke down in tears in a video that went viral after being posted on Twitter yesterday, June 17.

The cop said she had a mobile order for a McMuffin, a coffee and hashbrowns at a McDonald’s drive-thru while she was on her way home.

“When I pull up to the window, they hand me my receipt. So, I go to the second window to go get my food. And I’m waiting, and I’m waiting, and I’m waiting,” the visibly upset officer said.

She was then asked by a fast food employee to “pull up” because her order was not ready yet. Officer Stacey noted that she has not eaten for a while so she was hungry.

“So I pull up forward then a girl comes out with my coffee, and just the coffee. Then she hands it to me and I had my window down, and that’s all she hands me, is the coffee,” the officer said as she begins to cry.

“So I told her, I said ‘don’t bother with the food because right now, I’m too nervous to take it.’ Because no matter how many hours I’ve been up, it doesn’t matter what I’ve done for anyone,” she said.

Officer Stacey added that she is now too nervous to take a meal from the fast food chain because she could not see it being made.

“I don’t know what’s going on with people nowadays, but please, just give us a break. Please just give us a break. I don’t know how much more I can take,” the cop lamented.

The Twitter user who posted the video, a widely-followed conservative with the handle @tkag2020_ann, referred to the officer as Stacey and expressed her sympathies.

“Stacey who has been a cop for 15 yrs went to @McDonalds. She paid for it in advance and this is how she gets treated for being a cop […] Come on America. We are better than this,” the Twitter user said, quoting the cop on her supposed years of service.

The officer’s plight was then met with a slew of negative reactions from the public, with some being worried about her capability as a cop given her mental health status, while others criticized her for crying over the said issue.

“This cop needs a psychiatric evaluation. Crying over drive-through food? There are some serious issues here,” Twitter user @ericcslater said on June 17.

“This officer needs to be let go she clearly can’t handle the ‘pressure’ of just wearing a uniform, how is she gonna handle a [high-risk] situation when she’s clearly unstable and has a weapon?” @TriptonicSounds meanwhile said.

Journalist Jamil Smith also weighed in on the issue and emphasized how the said officer is “not the victim here,” stressing how there are more important issues at hand involving the police.

“She is not the victim here. Police officers have been killing and terrorizing black people disproportionately and with impunity for eons,” he said on Twitter earlier today, June 18.

“Her implication here, without evidence, is that her fast food was being tampered with. White feelings are not a priority above black survival,” Smith added.

The video, which currently has 122,600 retweets and more than 58,200 likes, went viral amid the ongoing protests over the death of black man George Floyd, who died last month in the hands of the police. As for Stacey the police officer, it is still unknown as of writing what local unit she belongs to, and no unit from Georgia has claimed her yet as their officer. JB
