Drug suspect slain in Camarines Norte buy-bust
LEGAZPI CITY –– A suspected drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte on early Thursday.
Col. Marlon Tejada, provincial police chief, said in a report that, after sensing that he was transacting with undercover police, Renato Solano immediately drew his gun, and shot the police officer in Barangay Luklukan Sur at 12:10 a.m.
The police retaliated and shot the suspect twice in his chest.
Recovered were 12 sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth), a .38 caliber revolver loaded with three live ammunition and two fired cartridge cases, and two suspected 9-mm fired cartridge cases.
