Belgian national slain by 4 burglars in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY –– A Belgian national was killed by at least four unidentified burglars, who entered their home at Villa Angela in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City at 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday.

Carl Nolens, 76, succumbed to a bullet wound on the stomach.

Initial police investigation showed that Nolens resisted when the burglars took the bag of his wife containing money and jewelry.

He was brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
