PNP personnel briefed on 2nd tranche cash aid

/ 04:30 AM June 16, 2020

Philippine National Police officials nationwide started undergoing on Monday a two-day online webinar on their role in the second tranche payout of the social amelioration program. PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said the online orientation would define the role of the police in the financial assistance distribution to low-income families. “We will find out the police units’ responsibility and role in the distribution of the second tranche of the financial assistance,” Banac said. The distribution of cash aid in the first tranche has been marred with irregularities among local government units.—Jeannette I. Andrade
