CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized several shipments of firearms and accessories that passed through Clark International Airport without any letter of authority to import.
Among the seized items were 17 pieces of riflescopes, telescopic sights, SR-16 Carbine, 10 pieces Kevlar helmets, eight cans of pellets and gun magazines, bulletproof vests and assorted gun parts, according to lawyer Ruby Alameda, district collector at the Port of Clark.
Alameda turned over the items to Col. Rommil Mitra, chief of the police’s firearms and explosives office here, on June 11.
