ANGELES CITY—Authorities seized Peking ducks and frozen goods worth P25 million from a warehouse located just outside Clark Freeport.

Some 11,490 pieces of the pricey delicacy were found in 1,149 brown boxes with Chinese labels inside a refrigerated warehouse in Barangay Anunas here.

Operatives of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Services, National Bureau of Investigation and Philippine Coast Guard swooped down on the warehouse on Thursday and served a letter of authority to inspect to a certain Jimgold Tan who represented the owner.

Also seized were soy sauce, oil and other frozen food products, such as fish balls, squid balls, vegetables and pork. The Peking ducks were valued at P23 million and the frozen goods, about P2 million. —Tonette Orejas
