MANILA, Philippines – Like the prosecution panel, Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona’s legal counsels are also prepared to defend their client.

Former Chief Justice Serafin Cuevas, who heads Corona’s legal team, told Radyo Inquirer in an interview that they had the “burden of proof”, believing that the impeachment case lodged against their client was illegal.

He said that their motions were not delaying tactics and that they remained hopeful for a fair trial at the Senate.

For more of the interview, listen to Radyo Inquirer 990AM.
