OFW, call center agent are latest COVID-19 cases in Nueva Ecija
CABANATUAN CITY—A repatriated overseas Filipino worker and a Metro Manila-based call center agent tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID 19) in Nueva Ecija on Thursday, authorities here said.
The new cases raised to 61 the number of COVID-19 cases in the province, a report from the local inter-agency task force said.
Patient 60 is a 27-year-old resident of San Jose City and had a travel history to Dubai. The patient is currently admitted to Asean Convention Center Quarantine Facility in Clark Freeport.
Patient 61 is a 36-year-old resident of San Antonio town and is working as a call center agent. The patient was reportedly exposed to a co-worker on May 21 and is on home quarantine, the task force said.
Fifty of the COVID-19 cases in the province had already recovered while three had died.
