A mother got arrested on suspicions of fraud after allegedly spending charity money raised on behalf of her sick son, to have her breasts enhanced and to buy a new car.

The 29-year-old Natalie Webster from Derby, United Kingdom has a baby with a heart condition, according to The Sun yesterday, June 8. She was arrested by the police last Sunday, June 7, but was released under investigation.

The fundraiser for Webster’s child raised 10,000 pounds (over P630,000), but only 4,200 pounds (over P265,000) was reportedly given to the Heart Link Children’s Charity.

“Funny how she’s just had a boob job, bought a new car and her kids are dripping in gold, yet last year she couldn’t rub two brass pennies together,” a donor Billie Ferris was quoted as saying. Ferris was also demanding for a refund of her 135-pound (over P8,500) donation.

The fundraiser’s furious donors gathered outside Webster’s home after hearing about the alleged “scam.” According to the report, Webster set up a raffle after her son had a heart operation. She also created a now-deactivated-GoFundMe page for her child.

A neighbor said that the incident was a “mayhem” as the donors banged on Webster’s door and window, demanding to see her, the report said. The neighbor feared that a riot might have started if the police did not arrive. Cha Lino/JB
