LEGAZPI CITY – Police arrested seven drug suspects and seized an estimated P464,000 worth of shabu in separate operations in Naga City Monday night.
Christian Frivaldo, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Bicol regional director, said 15 sachets or 10 grams of suspected “shabu” with an estimated value of P68,000 were seized from Jericho Magpantay of Zone 3, Barangay Triangulo at around 6:30 p.m.
A few minutes later, Ely Balmes, a high-value target, was also arrested with 20 grams of shabu worth P136,000 in his residence at the Zone 4 of same village.
In another operation, 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000 were seized from the residence of Alan Adan at Zone 6 at around 8:10 p.m.
About an hour later, authorities also recovered 11 sachets or 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000 from the residence of Jonathan Sta. Ana also in Zone 6.
In Barangay Mabolo, police operatives arrested Jovelyn Rivera, Loreto Morano and Joel Salazar in a buy-bust operation at around 6:10 p.m., said Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police.
