Malabon industrial area fire put under control 18 hours after it started

MANILA, Philippines – A fire damaged three warehouses in an industrial area in Barangay Potrero, Malabon City, before being declared under control, the Bureau of Fire Protection Malabon City said Monday night.

According to the office, the city fire marshal, Supt. Eduardo Loon, made the declaration at 9:42 p.m., or over 18 hours after the fire department declared a fourth alarm.

As of this writing, arson investigators have started inspecting the site, but they have not estimated the cost of the damage nor have they determined the cause of fire.
