YOUNG MAN KILLED IN DISCO
A 22-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead in a disco in barangay Caputatan Norte, Medellin town, northern Cebu at dawn yesterday.
Police said Tata Ancero was on the dance floor with friends when an unidentified man shot him at close range.
Ancero died on the spot from a gunshot wound in the chest.
The assailant fled after the attack.

COP STABBED
A POLICEMAN was stabbed in the face by a man who may be mentally disturbed in barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.
SPO3 Emmanuel Sarmiento , who is assigned at the Guadalupe police precinct, was able to neutralize his attacker, Reynan Tiu, 26, by shooting him in the knee.
Sarmiento and other policemen had gone to the Susana compound to respond to a trouble alarm.
Resident Joseph Sasan sought police assistance after he figured in a dispute with Tiu.
SP03 Sarmiento, a team leader, and his group went to Tiu’s house.
Police were outside the house when Tiu suddenly opened the door and attacked Sarmiento with a knife.
Tiu and Sarmiento wererushed to a Cebu City hospital. CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
