LUCENA CITY—Two COVID-19 fatalities and two new cases were listed on Quezon province’s coronavirus tally sheets on Friday (June 5).
According to a 5 p.m. report of the Quezon public information office (QPIO), the new cases were in the towns of Sariaya and Catanauan.
Two people—one positive for coronavirus and the other “probable” for infection—died in Sariaya, the QPIO said, citing the integrated provincial health office.
No details were made available on the two fatalities.
Sariaya has five COVID-19 cases with three recoveries and two fatalities. Catanauan has two cases.
The province of Quezon is now on General Community Quarantine (GCQ), supposedly a looser version of Enhanced Community Quarantine. It now has 107 COVID-19 cases with 74 recoveries and nine fatalities.
Deducting 74 recoveries and nine fatalities from the total leaves the province with 24 current COVID-19 cases. No details were given on the fatalities, though.
Officials also listed 17 “probable” COVID-19 patients, or those whose test results were inconclusive.
