LUCENA CITY –– One patient has recovered but one was confirmed to have the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in this city that is still taking care of 16 patients.
A COVID-19 patient from Barangay Ilayang Iyam has “recovered and [has been] cleared” of SARS-Cov2, the virus that causes COVID-19, said a report of the Lucena public information office on Thursday.
But another patient was tested positive of the disease, according to the 8 a.m. Friday bulletin of the Quezon public information office (QPIO), citing the latest record from the Integrated Provincial Health Office.
Lucena has recorded a total of 46 COVID-19 cases, the largest list of validated virus carriers in the province since the pandemic broke out, but at least 30 of them have recovered.
The QPIO also reported that Quezon, now under general community quarantine, has 105 confirmed COVID-19 cases in its record. At least 74 of the patients have recovered, but eight others had died.
The province now has a total of 23 active virus carriers.
