3 collared in drug stings in Camarines Sur, Sorsogon

LEGAZPI CITY –– Three alleged illegal drug pushers were arrested on Wednesday in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Naga City in Camarines Sur and Donsol town in Sorsogon, reports said Thursday.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said the drug operations yielded close to P75,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth).

In Naga City, Roberto Decano, 46, and Rico Relato, 40, both residents of Barangay San Felipe, were caught selling shabu in the said village at 11:35 p.m. Confiscated were 10 grams of shabu with a street value of P68,000.

In Donsol, Sorsogon, Leo Castillo, 44, a security guard at the Donsol District Hospital and a resident of Sorsogon City, was arrested while selling suspected shabu, a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) report said.

PDEA agent Rowell Eduarte said Castillo was caught selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover agent along the Tres Marias Drive in Barangay Poso around 3 p.m.

Seized from the suspect, considered as the number 5 provincial high-value target, were four sachets of shabu worth P6,800.
