4.0-magnitude earthquake rocks Davao Occidental
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The temblor struck at 3:12 p.m. some 431 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos town, according to Phivolcs.
It also said the quake was of tectonic origin and had a 44-kilometer depth of focus.
No aftershocks or damage may be expected from the tremor, Phivolcs added.
