MANILA, Philippines — Only three of the four terminals of the country’s main gateway Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) will service domestic and international flights in a bid to reduce losses during its more than two-month limited operations.
The Manila International Airport Authority implemented terminal reassignment for flights in Naia starting on Monday as it prepares to resume domestic flight operations.
Terminal 1 will service international commercial flights, while Terminal 2 will be used for repatriation, sweeper flights and commercial domestic flights of flag carrier Philippine Airlines.
Terminal 3 will be used for flights of Cebu Pacific and Air Asia. Terminal 4 will remain closed. Naia has incurred P1.8 billion in revenue losses compared to last year.
