THE Lexmark Research and Development Corp., in partnership with the Cebu Music Learning Center (CMLC), culminated their Family Welfare Club’s summer workshop for kids through a recital last June 2 at the Events Centre of SM City Cebu.

Organized by Niño Romero and his team, the recital showcased the output of the children who joined summer workshop for the past two months.

There were music and dance numbers such as a vocal group song and acoustic performance.

SM Storyland mascots also entertained the audience.

For the entire summer, children of Lexmark employees came to Lexmark Plaza 1 every Saturday to attend lessons in violin, art appreciation, music appreciation, guitar, dance, and vocal group classes.

“The whole summer workshop was a success. It has been an avenue for families to bond, for employees to unwind and for their children to hone their skills at the different programs offered by the CMLC,” Lexmark head Shirley Almacen said.

The program ended with the CMLC faculty and students singing the song “Don’t Stop Believing,” hoping that the students would continue in enhancing their skills.

CMLC director Sandra Namocatcat said they are looking forward to another year at Lexmark. She said  she will continue sharing the gift of music along with her husband and musician Dennis Namocatcat to the children. /UP Masscom student Annie Fe G. Perez
