Drug suspect dead in buy-bust turned bloody in Cabanatuan

CABANATUAN CITY—A drug suspect was killed in a buy-bust operation at a village here on Monday (June 1) after the sting turned into a gunfight, according to police.

The suspect, Einnor Castro, a resident of San Isidro village in this city, supposedly fired a .45-caliber pistol at policemen after he was caught selling a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover agent.

Investigators said the policemen shot back, fatally hitting the suspect.

Police recovered the suspect’s pistol, the buy-bust money, 13 sachets of shabu and his motorcycle.
