MANILA, Philippines — Two heavily populated streets in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque, will be placed on a three-day “calibrated” lockdown after these posted the highest number of new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the city.
In a statement, Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the entire stretch of Tramo I and Tramo II would be locked down starting at 6 a.m. on June 4 until midnight of June 6.
Based on the latest bulletin from the city, San Dionisio accounted for 101 of Parañaque’s 723 confirmed cases.
“As per our health office, COVID-19 cases in Tramo I and II have tremendously increased in the past weeks because of the family and community transmissions circumstances, prompting us to order the three-day lockdown,” Olivarez said.
San Dionisio, with a population of 63,506, is the second barangay in the city where some streets or areas have been placed under calibrated lockdown.
