DAGUPAN CITY–A 29-year-old man from Asingan town, Pangasinan province has recovered from the coronavirus disease (COVID 19), local health officials said.

The patient had been tested for the virus during the first wave of mass testing carried out by Pangasinan provincial health office.

His recovery has reduced the number of active COVID-19 cases in Pangasinan to two. The remaining cases are a 15-year-old girl in Asingan and a 28-year-old patient from Sual town.

As of Sunday, the Ilocos region has 69 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 50 of whom had recovered, two on strict home quarantine while 12 had died.
