Male frontliner is 37th COVID-19 patient of Occidental Mindoro

CITY OF CALAPAN –– A 23-year-old male frontliner in Calintaan town in Occidental Mindoro province is the 37th confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) case in the province, local authorities said Saturday.

The Provincial Health Office received the test result Saturday morning from the Philippine Red Cross, according to a post of the provincial government’s official Facebook account.

The patient underwent reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction swab testing last May 28.

He is asymptomatic and under isolation for monitoring.

Earlier, the province also recorded 26 new COVID-19 patients, who were construction workers from a Department of Public Works and Highways project in Magsaysay town.
