5 cleared of COVID-19 in Palawan
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY –– Five patients in Palawan were cleared from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after their test results turned negative.
The Center for Health Development (CHD-Mimaropa), in its bulletin issued Thursday, recorded five negative COVID-19 test results in Palawan.
This, after health officials said Ospital Ng Palawan’s (ONP) COVID-19 laboratory started its operation last week.
“For today’s additional negative result, one was from ONP. But all in all, ONP has already released ten negative results,” said Geraldine Perez, health education and promotion officer of the regional office.
Only eight suspected COVID-19 patients were being monitored, two of whom were admitted to different hospitals, while six remained under strict home quarantine as of 3 p.m. on Thursday.
ONP’s COVID-19 testing center was granted a temporary license to operate on May 18, using a repurposed GeneXpert machine.
