SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES—National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) has assailed the alleged harassment of Inquirer correspondent Joanna Rose Aglibot and her family by a councilman of Barangay San Miguel here.
On Tuesday, village councilor Siegfred Gonzales, who lives across Aglibot’s house here, reportedly aimed a flashlight at Aglibot and her mother and berated them.
Gonzales was joined by his mother who reportedly hurled insults at the Aglibots.
It was not clear what triggered the incident but NUJP said Aglibot had been reporting on local officials’ response to the coronavirus pandemic. —INQUIRER CENTRAL LUZON
